Beau & Ro Bag Company by Sara Rossi
Who should pack it: The no-nonsense, minimalist female traveler who wants to be stylish and yet hands-free.
Field test results: Who knew that belt bags were all the rage! Our bag arrived in a simple, lined drawstring pouch for gift giving or storage. This bag measures 6″ X 8″ with generous space inside for keys, phone, cash/credit cards, lip color and a few other small items. The interior features a deep pocket for storing items you want to segregate from the main compartment, like sunglasses. Inside the bag is an instruction card describing the three easy steps to convert the clutch to a belt bag. The belt measures 45” from end to end. We tested the Pebble Beach version with pebbled tan/gold leather, a gold zipper and a natural canvas center and a playful floral fabric interior. It’s subtle and subdued with a little bit of pizzaz.
The pitch: “The clutch that converts to a belt bag.”
Price point: $98-$168, excluding sale items. Also available: A tote that converts to a backpack $248-$358.
Why we love it: These bags are made in NYC and yours might feature wool, linen, leather or fabric from Pendleton. And what’s not to love about hands-free travel?
