Hyundai Elite i20
The uber cool Elite i20 is a great choice when it comes to choose an automatic car from the house of the Korean manufacturer. The automatic i20 comes with a 1.4-liter petrol engine that can churn out 100 PS of power at 6000 rpm and 132 Nm of torque at 4000 rpm. The engine is further mated to a 4 speed automatic transmission system. The combination of a brilliant motor and auto transmission has made this uber cool and popular hatchback even more desirable. The petrol variant is capable of churning out respectable 123 PS of power at 6400 rpm and 151 Nm of torque at 4850 rpm. Hyundai claims that the Creta petrol can return a mileage of 15 kmpl. The diesel variant is capable of churning out 128 ps of power at 4000 rpm and 260 Nm of torque at 2750 rpm. According to Hyundai, the diesel AT can return a mileage of 17 kmpl which is marginally lower than the manual variant. Both the variants are equipped with dual airbags, which provide better protection to the occupants. Additionally the baby SUV is also equipped with ABS, EBD and parking assist for better safety. The ICE of the SUV is taken care of by a 7.0-inch audio video navigation system with Bluetooth and 1GB onboard memory. The Hyundai Creta automatic variant costs Rs 12.93 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Hyundai Verna is the oldest car in this list, but it’s still going strong, thanks to its brilliant engine and transmission system. The automatic Verna is available in both petrol and diesel avatars. Both of these variants are powered by 1.6-liter engine. The petrol engine can produce maximum power of 123 PS at 6300 rpm and 154.9 Nm of maximum torque at 4200 rpm. The diesel variant on the other hand can make out 128 ps of maximum power at 4000 rpm and 259 Nm of torque at 2750 rpm. Both the engine variants are connected with 4-speed automatic transmission for optimum performance. Like most other Hyundais, the Verna also carries the manufacturer’s fluidic design language, which makes it look great. The sedan is also equipped with two airbags, ABS, EBD and parking assistant for passenger safety. Additionally the fully automatic air condition system makes sure that the passengers remain comfortable even in the scorching heat.

Just like the Hyundai Elite i20, the Hyundai Xcent also comes with a 1.2-liter VTVT Kappa engine that can produce 83 bhp of power at 6,000 rpm and 114 Nm of torque at 4000 rpm. The transmission duties are handled by a 4-speed automatic transmission system. One must applaud Hyundai for equipping this budget sedan with airbags. The ICE department of the compact sedan has been taken care of by an audio system with 1GB onboard memory. Hyundai has scaled down its fluidic design in the Xcent, which has made it a nice looking car with a grown up design. Hyundai Xcent AT variant costs Rs 7.86 lakhs which makes it the cheapest Hyundai car with automatic transmission.
Hyundai Santa Fe
The macho looking SUV from Hyundai, the Santa Fe is most premium automatic vehicle form this manufacturer. The Santa Fe has two variants – one 2-wheel and another 4-wheel – that are equipped with automatic transmission. Hyundai has powered the SUV with 2.2-liter diesel engine that can churn out 197 PS of power at 3800 rpm and 446 Nm of torque at 2500 rpm, mated with 7-speed automatic transmission system. Additionally the SUV is equipped with automatic headlamps, power seats, ABS, Airbags and EBD. The Santa Fe competes with the likes of the all new Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour.
