Have you heard the latest “buzz?” According to a Foodimentary report published on Sept. 7 , one of the most refreshing holidays of the entire year is finally here. After a year of waiting, one of the best beverage holidays is taking place right now and Americans are in the mood to celebrate. Hip “hops” hooray – Sept. 7 is National Beer Lover’s Day in the U.S.A.
The annual event was created by John-Bryan Hopkins. In an online interview, Hopkins said he came up with the idea on a whim a few years ago. While others were celebrating National Acorn Squash Day on Sept. 7, Hopkins was in the mood for a something a bit more refreshing, like a tasty beer and came up with the idea of National Beer Lover’s Day. Needless to say, the annual holiday has become quite popular over the years.
Whether you consider yourself a novice, connoisseur, weekend warrior or just enjoy a good brew every now-and-then, today’s beer is a popular American drink available in many different flavors. Just in case you need an excuse, today is the perfect day to grab your tried-and-true brew or try out that new craft beer you’ve been eyeing. Or why not visit your local brewery or pub or host a backyard bash with a few of your favorite BFFs in honor of the occasion?

National Beer Lover’s Day
In Texas? Mosey on over to the The Twisted X Brewing Co., located in Dripping Springs. Known for its high-quality Tex Mex-style craft beer, check out their tasty beer tasting event from 1 – 8:00 p.m. on Sept. 7, 2015. And while you are there, be sure to stop by for a free brewery tour.
Talk about a labor of love. If you happen to be in the Portland area, be sure to check out this fun tour which includes stops at the Ex Novo, Base Camp and Laurelwood breweries. Enjoy refreshing beer, tasty appetizers, a complimentary pilsner glass along with worry-free transportation. The Labor of Love Tour takes place on Labor Day, from 2 – 5:00 p.m.
