Looking for a way to unwind after a long day gardening, or shopping for the holidays? How about indulging in a minty foot scrub? These foot scrubs made with organic essential oils also make great gifts for friends and family, anyone who needs a little pampering. Here is the ingredient list and very easy directions to make your own organic foot scrub.
Minty foot scrub
6 oz sea salt or kosher salt
1 1/2 cups sweet almond oil
30 drops organic peppermint essential oil
15 drops organic tea tree oil
Fill a jar with salt. I like to use reused or repurposed jars, keeps them out of the landfill.
Pour almond oil over the salt, mix with a teaspoon.
Let salt and oil settle for 5 minutes.
Oil should just cover the salt, you may need to add a tiny bit more.
Mix in essential oils.
Directions on use:
Soak feet one at a time in warm water for 5 to 7 minutes.
Scoop out a generous amount of minty foot scrub and starting at the top of your foot, using a circular motion, massage it in. Be sure to pay attention to top, bottom, heel, toes, and ankles.
Rinse, then repeat with other foot. The shelf life for your minty foot scrub is about 6 months, however, once you try this, you will use it up quickly.
