ith a worsted weight yarn either cotton, wool or a man-made fiber, the pouch starts out with a base of single crochet, then several rounds of a shell stitch, and finally topped with a ruffle and double drawstring. Hold a filament of lurex fiber with your yarn for a sparkly effect. Use up your scraps for this project as it takes less than an ounce. You can vary the look by using multiple colors. For example, use black for the base and alternate black and a bright color for the shell body, ending with black for the top.
